Christina Michii-Raggio, a California native, has over 15 years of experience working across county systems, with a focus on mental health, aging, and disabilities. She has supported families, older adults, and individuals with cognitive and neurodevelopmental conditions through program development, safety planning, and collaboration with county and community partners. Her background includes extensive work in caregiver mental health, dementia, and Alzheimer’s safety strategies, and collaborating with resource partners to support adults and youth with developmental disabilities and autism who present with elopement and behavioral challenges.
Christina currently serves in the Department of Aging & Disabilities, where she helps advance cross-sector initiatives, data-informed strategies, and community-based support for vulnerable populations. She also serves as a co-lead for the Advanced Care Planning Workgroup within the Healthy Brain LA Coalition, where she contributes to countywide efforts to promote education and awareness on dementia risk reduction, early detection, and end-of-life care planning.
She is pursuing a PhD in Behavioral Health Administration, with research focused on social policy and identifying gaps that affect neurodiverse populations, individuals with cognitive impairments, and those with disabilities. Christina holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in Human Behavior Psychology. In addition to her county service, she serves on the Board of the National Autism Safety Council (NASC), where she helps identify service gaps, strengthen collaborative solutions, and elevate the needs of individuals and families affected by cognitive and behavioral health challenges. Her work is grounded in a commitment to improving safety, accessibility, and outcomes for diverse communities.
